Calvary Christian Academy's History Department will be continuing the tradition of a study tour focusing on American history in Washington D.C. We will be leading a group of students, teachers, and parents on a 5-day study tour that includes Washington D.C., Gettysburg, Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg.
These deluxe tours will depart from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International in late October or early November.
Calvary Christian Academy is partnering with American Christian Tours which is the oldest tour company that specializes in study tour with an emphasis on a historical Christian perspective.

The Sites
This tour will include Colonial Williamsburg where the students will be transported back to the way America was over 200 years in the past. They will walk the cobbled stone streets and interact with real living historians who will give a fresh perspective to our founding fathers. Additional stops at Jamestown and Mount Vernon are often possible!!
Gettysburg is also on this trip. So we will drive into the peaceful Pennsylvania countryside to the place where many Americans died during our nation's darkest hour; the Civil War. Here the students will see and discuss the fight for the unity of America and were President Lincoln gave a final tribute to the fallen soldiers on this battlefield.
Washington D.C. will be the highlight of the trip as we walk through the Halls of Congress, speak with Senators and Congressmen, visit the Smithsonian Museums, and many other exciting pieces of American history. This study tour will make US History and Government courses come alive!
